FalcoInfinity circular bicycle canopy

At Falco, we believe that circularity is the key to a sustainable world. That's why there are several people within Falco working on circularity; a circular designer, a circular manager and several talented students. Together they have developed the FalcoInfinity; a bicycle canopy that is not only solid and durable, but also fully recyclable and 100% circular. The parts are easy to de-assemble and infinitely deployable

Circular canopy

This steel and wood canopy consists of as little material as possible, and the material that has been used can be reused when it returns to Falco. This applies to both the wood and the roof panel. The FSC® certified hardwood boards can also be reused for an outdoor bench. A standard size was kept for the roof, so the roof can have a second life on another canopy.

This durable canopy is designed so that it is easy and not time-consuming to de-assemble the various parts. Relatively few different parts need to be connected together.

The FalcoInfinity scores high on all aspects of circularity, such as lifespan, (de)assembly, maintenance, reuse and recycling. If a maintenance contract is signed, the canopy (excluding foundation) is 100% circular.

Design

By combining the materials wood and steel and the unique shape of the FalcoInfinity, the end result is an original canopy.

Like other canopies in our range, the FalcoInfinity is a modular canopy, The initial compartment can be expanded with 1 or more extension compartments.

The color of the siding can be powder coated in a desired color.

MKI score

Our circular manager is able to calculate the environmental cost of our products. The environmental cost indicator (EQI) is an indicator that expresses the environmental impact of a product in euros. It weighs all relevant environmental impacts created during a product's life cycle and adds them up to a single score. The MKI, or shadow price of a product, is an easy way to compare and communicate the environmental impact of products or projects. This product's MKI score is low if it uses used wood. This canopy with used wood causes less environmental damage than comparable products.

Own production

Falco has its own design team and all our products are manufactured by ourselves. The great advantage of this is that we control the quality of our products and are flexible in terms of custom designs. It also has a positive impact on CO2 emissions by reducing transport.
