Includes quality assurance for the Wkb
In the construction of Eurofast's industrial hall, fire safety was an important issue. For this, Bouwbedrijf van de Ven called in Univor. They made the steel construction fire-resistant and guaranteed the required quality.
To ensure structural fire safety, Univor first provided the steel structure with a fire-resistant coating. It then applied a finishing coat in the desired RAL color and finally made all penetrations fire-resistant.
To complete the work by the deadline, Univor had to organize the work tightly. "We were not the only ones dealing with that tight deadline," says Hans van Eenbergen, director of Univor. "That's why we also had to keep the finishers out of the wind. Only when we had completed our fireproofing work could he move on as well. This meant 'consulting', 'switching' and 'being flexible'."
"Now I dare say that our people are good at this," Van Eenbergen continues. "They are practical and solution-oriented. They can put theoretical information into practice and explain it in plain language." For four months, a team of five people from Univor was on hand to carry out all the fireproofing work.
Within the framework of the Building Quality Assurance Act (Wkb), Univor recorded all activities during the entire execution. 0-measurement, working method, materials used, results of control tests and supporting visual material were accommodated in the digital project book Fire resistance. Van Eenbergen: "With this document, the contractor is ready for the Wkb. It allows him to demonstrate at all times that we have delivered the required quality. We are quite far along in this. The Luchtdicht Bouwen project book is also ready. So the main contractor has nothing to worry about."
