Full-glass overhead doors form highways within Porsche Centrum Brabant

The new location is built according to the 'Destination Porsche' architectural style with a modern and customer-oriented design.

Robert van Barneveld of Porsche Centrum Brabant explains, "In a building like this, in a dealership, the overhead doors are actually the highways of the company. A lot goes through them. That means they have to be functional, always work properly and be fault-free. It is also important that the installation during construction goes smoothly. That all worked out." 

Twenty insulated full glass overhead doors

Porsche Centrum Brabant chose 20 full-glass overhead doors from ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems. Thomas de Jong, account manager at ASSA ABLOY: "Porsche Centrum Brabant chose ASSA ABLOY's insulated glazed overhead doors because they both achieve energy savings and facilitate a pleasant working environment for employees. What is so special about this project is that the doors blend into the facade and are almost unnoticeable."

The overhead doors play a crucial role in the daily operation of the Porsche clubhouse. They are not only the access doors for the cars, but also an important part of the energy efficiency of the building and the appearance of the location. Van Barneveld: "In a building like this, we naturally have additional requirements. On the one hand, we built this building to very high environmental standards, so the door had to be extra insulating. And that succeeded."

"The choice of ASSA ABLOY's full-glass doors was not only practical, but also aesthetic. The doors contribute to the modern and professional look of the Porsche Center. We have a lot of roll-up doors that are visible to our employees and to the customer. Even a workshop is something we like to show in the premises these days, so the door also has to be attractive. That's why we also went for the full-glass doors, which look neat and are absolutely representative of a Porsche Center." De Jong: "I am enormously proud of this project because it is an incredibly cool location with very cool cars. In addition, our doors are part of the design of the building and that makes it a real addition. And that's incredibly cool!"
