Sustainable projects from trust. 'The relationship always comes first with us'

Together, the best results are created. That shows the new building of Quantiserv in Kruiningen once again. The new office was clad with the circular and bio-based cladding Neolife by LJ Solutions. Designed by Bouwraadhuisarchitecten, supplied by Bouwcenter Logus-De Hoop and assembled by Kruysse Bouw en Geveltechniek. Michelle Zomerdijk, account manager Cladding at LJ Solutions, talks about this pleasant cooperation.

"It is always nice to be involved in a project from the very first moment," Zomerdijk knows. "In this case, our partner, Bouwcenter Logus-De Hoop, was the first point of contact during the construction of the building. The advantage then is that our partners have a lot of knowledge of the product and can apply their experience directly. Because we were also involved from the beginning, we were able to think along well in the execution of the cladding."

Fire class B

She points to the newly constructed building. "A beautiful combination of office building and industrial hall. The Neolife Cover 14 in the color Sand was chosen to make it a whole. The result is a modern look and the required fire class B. The Fineo corner profile is finished in the same color and provides the finishing touch." Logus-De Hoop often works with the Neolife facade systems. These consist of a natural wood composite, are maintenance-free and circular: the panels are fully recyclable and upcyclable. Zomerdijk: "It is very pleasant to work with Bouwcenter Logus-De Hoop and, in this case, with Christiaan Strating. Together we ensure fine and clear communication with all parties. In our discussions I experience an open mind and a listening ear. That's nice, because I haven't been in this position for so long."

Sustainable cooperation

She tells how she started as an intern a year ago: "From my Business Administration studies I was allowed to graduate at LJ Solutions on the issue of sustainability. LJ Solutions was already doing well, but wanted to work with me to implement the sustainability strategy even further, without losing sight of its core values. A valuable and enjoyable time!" Following her graduation, Zomerdijk was therefore quickly back on the shop floor. "After a good interview, I was allowed to start working as account manager Cladding. I've been doing that for almost six months now, with enormous pleasure! And then it's very nice to work with partners like Bouwcenter Logus-De Hoop, where communication is so open and clear."

Relationship over product

She points to the cladding. "Neolife is a wonderful product. Yet that is not directly the basis of our conversations. The relationship is always paramount at LJ Solutions, to offer a clear and honest choice to the customer from there. Both our products and our cooperation revolve around the long term. We find precisely this social sustainability enormously important. Because at the end of the day, we all want the same thing: a partnership based on trust, in order to achieve a great result. And that is only possible if you put the right people together. In this case, the team from Logus-De Hoop and LJ Solutions, together with Bouwraadhuis."
