Natuurpunt - an independent volunteer association with approximately 125,000 members dedicated to the protection of vulnerable and endangered nature in Flanders - and Vivara Pro announce far-reaching cooperation.
The two organizations have been working together for some time on solutions for nature-inclusive construction. Now they have decided to formalize this cooperation.
“We are proud to work with highly qualified experts with years of experience in a variety of fields, including bats, swifts, amphibians and insects. Their knowledge enables us to further deepen and improve our product developments,” said Jan Thomassen, director at Vivara Pro.
The collaboration focuses on long-term and intensive cooperation in research, technological development and knowledge sharing. By combining the expertise of Natuurpunt - including Natuurpunt Studie - with the practical experience of Vivara Pro, guidelines will be developed and published to support professionals in Belgium in applying nature-inclusive building. In addition, both parties work together on the development and testing of products such as nest boxes, built-in bricks and insect facilities, specifically aimed at the professional market.
Cooperation will also be strengthened in the areas of visibility and market approach. Natuurpunt will evaluate Vivara Pro's products; those found suitable will be complemented with the Natuurpunt logo. With regular consultation meetings and joint marketing initiatives, Natuurpunt and Vivara Pro will ensure that knowledge, innovation and commercial opportunities continue to reinforce each other. In this way they join forces not only to protect biodiversity, but also to allow it to grow sustainably.
