For the (total) finishing of homes and other buildings, main contractors and building owners would do well to call on a specialist who can relieve them of all their worries. Paas Totaalafbouw, for example, is responsible for several activities, including cement screeds, interior walls, wall and ceiling finishes and tiling. This specialist, a trusted name in the trade for more than 45 years, was commissioned to lay all the cement screeds in the Atlas and Pleione residential towers in Groningen. Thanks to extensive experience and the Paas cement screed truck combination, the Emmen-based company can successfully complete such a challenging high-rise project with a tight time schedule without any problems.

"We received this assignment from contractor Plegt-Vos, whom we have completely relieved with the completion of projects before. Moreover, we have a lot of experience with high-rise projects. The residential towers Atlas and Pleione are 55 and 71 meters high, respectively, and that poses quite a challenge," explains director-owner Hendri Paas. "At Paas Totaalafbouw, however, we continue where others stop. Under the motto 'Groot(S) in Totaalafbouw', our technically trained and versatile professionals complete hundreds of residential and commercial construction projects every year, both new construction and renovation. We apply exterior wall insulation, carry out plastering and tiling work, install partition walls, finish walls and ceilings and lay cement screed and other types of floors. If required, we completely relieve our clients of any worries."
For the Atlas and Pleione residential towers, Paas Totaalafbouw is laying all cement screeds. Such floors consist of a combination of specially selected sand, cement and water and the correct ratio between these raw materials determines the compressive strength. Water pipes, electricity and pipes for (floor) heating are concealed in it and a nicely evenly finished cement screed forms the ideal basis for any desired (floor) covering. "For the laying of these cement screeds, we were active on the construction site for over six months. In close cooperation with the general contractor and other construction partners, we also ensured just-in-time deliveries on this project to meet the tight time schedule. In Atlas, we delivered on Monday and Tuesday each time. Once Pleione was also ready to lay the cement screeds, additional deliveries followed on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday," says Paas. "Thanks to our years of experience and the Paas cement screed truck combination, we were able to complete this job up to 71 meters high without any problems. After all, our truck is equipped with the latest techniques for transporting and laying cement screeds and other screeds, allowing us to work effectively, efficiently and flexibly."
