To protect them from moisture and chlorine fumes, Ribbstyle is applying a multilayer coating system on behalf of De Vries en Verburg.
"The specifications called for a coating with high vapor density and chlorine resistance," says Manager of Operations Stefan Dagevos of Ribbstyle. "But also with the necessary elasticity to move with the building. On that basis, we recommended our product RibFill Control Coat." Sales & Marketing Advisor Ellen Hoogesteger adds, "Thanks to our wide range of products and techniques, we can respond to many situations. We are frequently active in the fruit and agricultural sector, but are also increasingly in demand for projects in other industries. De Boetzelaer is a striking example of this."
In October 2020, Ribbstyle began applying the protective, four-layer system at De Boetzelaer. Hoogesteger: "First, we finished the seams with RibbSeal, an elastic sealant. Then we treated the aerated concrete with CorFill Primer BN, for good adhesion of the coating. Finally, we applied the RibbFill Control Coat in two coats, in the color black." Dagevos: "Because the coating is water-based, the substrate had to be completely dry. This took a little longer than planned, so we also started a little later. Meanwhile, other parties, such as the tiler, had also started. We had to coordinate our work well with that."
In December 2020, Ribbstyle delivered the work at De Boetzelaer. "Because of the good cooperation with De Vries en Verburg and our mutual flexibility, we achieved a good end result," says Dagevos. "We are proud that we were able to contribute to this leading project."
