Strong Together in Smart Technology. Timmers Projecten & Service provides custom electrical installations—from implementation to maintenance. Based in Uden, the company primarily serves clients in the Northeast Brabant region, such as Intracare in Veghel, for whom it recently completed a project.
“The contract with Intracare was awarded through a competitive bidding process,” says Ton Huinink, Project Control Manager at Timmers Projecten & Service. “In this project, we are installing the complete electrical system—from lighting and power systems to burglar alarms, data systems, a PV system, and an access control system. Only the fire alarm system is being installed outside our scope.”
He cites energy supply as a challenge. “The grid is getting more and more congested, and grid operators are increasingly reluctant to release (additional) grid capacity. Intracare also faced this issue. Because the available connection wasn’t sufficient to meet its energy needs, we developed a smart solution that, among other things, utilizes the excess capacity from the existing Intracare location across the street. The remaining energy demand is partially met by 306 PV panels on the roof.”
The building contains laboratory spaces that require specific connections, Huinink explains. “There are also a few rooms that must comply with the ATEX directive due to the products stored there.”
“The result of these efforts is an efficient and modern commercial building that’s ready for the future,” Huinink sums up. “A building where workplace comfort, technology, and functionality come together in every aspect.” A few weeks after completion, he looks back on a wonderful project in which he enjoyed a very pleasant collaboration with the client and all construction partners. “We look back on the process with satisfaction and look forward to providing maintenance in the coming years as well, thereby ensuring the continuity, safety, and reliability of the systems.”
