The foundation for Van Mossel Vans & Trucks was made by contractor T.W. Augustinus BV. This specialist in concrete works supplied the reinforcement, concrete, formwork and insulation material. They then realized everything under the concrete floor: basements, manholes, gutters, front racking, car elevators and more.
The total job involved three of the four operating companies of the Augustinus Group. Augustinus Prefabwapeningsstaal supplied the reinforcement; Augustinus Betonpompverhuur pumped the concrete and Aannemersbedrijf T.W. Augustinus BV was there for the execution. "Usually we deliver our concrete work complete," Niek Augustinus explains. "Van Mossel outsourced the concrete floor to another party, so Augustinus Betonvloeren was not involved in this project."
Although project Van Mossel was among the larger works - the building has substantial dimensions and the concrete had to be poured in several phases - the work for Augustine was no exception. "We work continuously on about 25 works at a time. These works vary in size, duration and complexity. For example, some 250,000 m³ of concrete is pumped per year from our organization. This has made our team of permanent specialists both skilled and flexible. They realize a lubrication point at a small-scale car company with the same professionalism as a two-story parking garage under an apartment complex."
This has undoubtedly helped put Augustine on the map as a reputable partner in concrete construction and rebar, both in residential and commercial construction.
