Acoustics are everywhere. We hardly ever think about it. Until they are not good and then you hear it from everyone: "bad acoustics here." You don't have to be an expert to hear that a building's acoustics are not good. On the other hand, it's nice to be an expert if you want to do something about it.
In fact, the problem of acoustics is complex and twofold: on the one hand, indoor installation noise must be limited, and on the other, outdoor noise must also be attenuated. Not to mention the challenges that follow from increasing urbanization. Soundproofing façade techniques will become an important part of the solution.
Hence, DUCO is hosting a seminar on this issue on Wednesday, June 7, in collaboration with the necessary experts.
Jan Hardlooper of Buro Bouwfysica and Jan Buijs of Peutz prepare to explain the whole subject.
Different solutions for all branches of the construction column will be discussed anyway. Sound attenuation ventilation for residential construction is essential, but intensive ventilation with attenuation for high-rise buildings should not be overlooked either.
Installation noise is the other side of the conversation. Attention must be paid to what innovations to the devices themselves are possible to reduce excessive noise production. In addition, shielding of technical installations is equally a question mark.
So plenty of interesting topics to talk about. Do you feel like joining and are you active in the construction industry as an acoustical consultant, a member of a study firm or are you a prescriber? Then visit the landing page and sign up soon, because places are limited! The appointment is already fixed: June 7 in the Netherlands Institute for Sound & Vision in Hilversum. You couldn't ask for a better location: one of the world's largest archives of different types of media and all of it on display through the brand new Media Museum. The venue, equipped to perfection, ensures that nothing is left to chance.
This interesting seminar will conclude with a delicious lunch. Afterwards, a free museum visit can be made.
DUCO is already looking forward to welcoming you.
