Oostenburg was for centuries the center of trade and industry. Now the island is being developed into a diverse neighborhood, with a mix of social, middle and free sector rental apartments, owner-occupied apartments, self-build apartments, recreational areas, restaurants and businesses, where Amsterdam is still truly Amsterdam: tough, adventurous and charming, as living and working in the city is meant to be. The apartments will be finished to a high standard with wooden window frames, luxury sanitary fittings and 'smart electronics'. Vercoma's innovative IP door communication system fits in perfectly with this. With iPlusBUS from Beoview, the E-installers involved benefit from all the advantages of a 100% pluggable system, while residents reap the benefits of a future-proof door communication system that meets all set requirements. Now and in the future.
Vercoma Communication Systems' exclusive Beoview IP door communication system is being used in blocks 2, 3, 5, 6, 8, 9 and 10, among others. The system is also being installed in Oostenburg Kavel 3, a subproject with 334 apartments also known as the monumental Werkspoor halls. "Our innovative iPlusBUS door communication system was already prescribed in the specifications," says Arjan Schouten, Manager Sales & Service at Vercoma. "In close cooperation with ETB Cas Sombroek, Blom Elektrotechniek and Klaver Technisch Bedrijf, we fine-tuned the systems for each individual block. At our assembly department in Wormerveer, we also further engineered, configured and programmed the door communication systems so that the installers can connect everything plug-and-play."
With iPlusBUS from Beoview, Vercoma offers a future-proof, extremely powerful and flexible door communication system, which can bridge unlimited distances and has unlimited connection capacity. "iPlusBUS offers all the advantages of full-IP door communication technology, but in combination with the familiar traditional simple bus infrastructure," Schouten said. "Other IP systems on the market are star-wired, making installation complex as well as expensive. iPlusBUS changes this. Thanks to this door communication system, installers no longer need all that extra cabling. The system is 100% pluggable, so it can be installed quickly and flexibly. Moreover, iPlusBUS is very competitive in price compared to traditional 2-wire systems. Vercoma offers a 5-year warranty on the complete system."
Thanks to free firmware updates, iPlusBUS remains up-to-date for years to come. The system can also be flexibly adapted or expanded. For example, it is possible to place a call panel at one's own front door or to add additional monitors. "The number of simultaneous call channels is practically unlimited," Schouten said. "Because there is no server, the iPlusBUS units can communicate with each other at lightning speed and peer-to-peer. To ensure optimal security and privacy, all commands for video, audio and data are AES256 encrypted."
At the entrances to the various residential blocks will be aluminum '2 x 2 module' code-scroll panels from Vercoma, in various sizes. "At the Werkspoor halls, on the other hand, our compact BEOTOUCH-C touchscreen panels were chosen," says Schouten. "Thanks to the use of 316L stainless steel (RVS) combined with a black touchscreen and flat design, these panels perfectly match the industrial character of the monumental halls in appearance. Thus, we offer a suitable solution for every block and every architectural style on Oostenburg."
The very nice 7″ video touchscreen BEOVIEW7 Lite-S monitors are installed in the apartments. Some of these monitors are equipped with a BWCM Wifi snap-in module, so residents can receive calls on their smartphones as well, if necessary. In the apartments where sec monitors are installed, this module can easily be added in the future. Thus, maximum flexibility is also ensured in this area.
