Dressed for success

Cladding Partners wants to renew, innovate and lead the way. Not by shouting from the rooftops, but by simply doing. "We don't just dress up buildings; we make sure everything and everyone looks better," says Ronald Meeren, a member of Cladding Partners' Management Team. "From the construction and the people who build to the buildings themselves. We stand for the result and take responsibility for it. We dare to stick our necks out for excellent work, safer work, smarter solutions and a thriving industry. We don't do this alone, but together. Together with everyone who believes in the visibility and relevance of our work, we make the Netherlands more beautiful, more inspiring and more colorful. That is what we stand for and what we want to attach our label to: Dressed by Cladding."

Cladding Partners supplies and installs steel roof and wall cladding, insulation and roofing, skylights and other wall finishes. "The latter category includes, for example, aluminum composite, aluminum and its equivalents," says Meeren. "This category is expanding rapidly as architects increasingly come up with new ideas for material use. We also like to be at the forefront in this area. For example, by joining the architect's table at a very early project stage. No' does not exist at Cladding Partners. We keep working until the architect's idea becomes reality. We make dreams come to life. Regardless of whether it is a small extension or a large distribution center, office, residential building, swimming pool or school. Not for nothing are we increasingly prescribed in specifications."

Perfectly at home

The projects are mostly commissioned by contractors, with whom Cladding Partners establishes long and lasting relationships based on honesty, clarity and growing together. "Our heart beats faster with special projects," says Meeren. "We have our own engineering department, where there is an awful lot of knowledge. This is the engine on which our projects run. Together with the relevant stakeholders and on the basis of, for example, building, function and environment, we like to select the right materials, shapes, colors and coatings so that each project comes into its own perfectly."

An inspiring project, for example, is the Leuve Pavilion (Port Pavilion) in Rotterdam, with lots of glass and special vistas.

Inspiring projects

Architects and contractors still regularly think in traditional materials, Meeren knows. "But there are so many beautiful and sustainable alternatives! For example, steel and aluminum, which are also a lot more maintenance-friendly. We see it as our task to make the market aware of this and to inspire it. Our extensive project portfolio helps with this." As an example of an inspiring project, he mentions the Leuve Pavilion (Port Pavilion) in Rotterdam, a compact pavilion with lots of glass and special vistas, which was commissioned by the Municipality of Rotterdam and designed by Moederscheim Moonen Architects. Cladding Partners contributed to the materialization of the roof and facade around the building from the sketch phase. "We made several drawings and mock-ups, based on which the building was clad with aluminum composite panels in different (color) finishes," says Meeren. "The triangular design subtly refers to the steel trusses and cranes from the harbor and gives the building a special dimension. In some places, the facade is openwork, so that light subtly shines through it."

Also impressive is the iconic Gymworld in Zoetermeer, where a wide variety of facade materials come together. In close cooperation with Remmers Bouwgroep and based on a design by VenhoevenCS architecture + urbanism, 4,351 m² of sandwich panels were produced and assembled, in various lines and color schemes. In addition, 660 meters of aluminum tubes were processed, which take the form of gymnastic rings. At the entrance, expanded metal with LED lighting was used, allowing Gymworld to maintain its elegant appearance even in the dark months. This makes both Gymworld and the Leuve Pavilion 'Dressed for success'.
