ERA Contour is fully committed to co-makership in the realization of the De Slotvrouwe project. It prefers to work with regular subcontractors and suppliers. Thus Van Muijen Betonbouw from Obdam was also asked to submit a quotation for a large part of the concrete work.
"We were selected for the above-ground tunnel molding work required to construct the three residential towers comprising 21 owner-occupied and 201 rental apartments. Another co-maker will first carry out the work on the basement of the residential towers. Once the substructure for one residential tower is ready, we start the concrete works for the realization of the 12 floors. This project took about a year," says project coordinator Ton Muurman. "In December 2020, we started assembling the tunnel formwork for the first floor of the first apartment building, which bears the name Bliss. Per tunnel cycle of 7 working days, 1 layer of the skeleton was cast in concrete. In March, this first residential tower was at height and we were able to transfer the tunnel formwork directly to the second building. Then the skeleton of apartment block Justice was completely poured, followed by the third phase, namely the casting of the walls and floors of block Lordship."
As long as it is wet and gray
For Van Muijen Betonbouw, this is ultimately an everyday project. The versatile concrete builder, specializing in wet concrete, produces and supplies the complete concrete shell for residential and commercial construction projects. "We want to completely 'unburden' our clients, which means that we organize the entire process from devising an effective construction system and all necessary preparations to the execution of a structure," the project coordinator continues. "We always adapt flexibly to the needs of each project, and our experienced employees are happy to think along with the customer to arrive at a high-quality solution. After all, only real concrete builders work for us, who enjoy working with everything wet and gray."
