Premium door video system for Weverstede residential towers

In cooperation with electrical installer Huussen, Vercoma Communication Systems provides all towers of project Weverstede in Nieuwegein with a premium door video system. Due to the height of the buildings, the Golmar 2-wire GTwin system was chosen, which can bridge long distances.

As in many other cities in the Netherlands, the demand for housing is high in Nieuwegein. The Weverstede in the city center appears to be the location par excellence to meet this demand. At the moment, client Fresch real estate and contractor AKOR are putting the finishing touches to an impressive new construction project with three towers totaling approximately 38,000 m² GLA. Project Weverstede includes a mix of apartments, commercial spaces, office functions and a restaurant and adds 368 homes to the city. Tower C (The New Citizen) was recently completed, which at 65 meters is the project's tallest tower. Towers A (35 meters) and B (45 meters) will follow next fall.

Design and project schedules

"In the preparatory phase, we supported Huussen in the design and engineering of the door video system," says Andy Menheere, Account Manager at Vercoma Communication Systems. "We also worked out the project schematics for the GTwin system. At the entrances will be attractive, flat and vandal-resistant aluminum code scroll exterior panels, which allow visitors to easily search by name or number. For the apartments, we selected our TEKNA-S GTwin wall monitors with horn and 4.3″ color screen. Thanks to five configurable and different call tones for the central entrance and front door, for example, residents know exactly which door is ringing."

Plug and play installation

The GTwin system is very powerful, has the capacity to cover long distances and can handle a large number of connections, Menheere resumes. "In addition, GTwin is easy and quick to install, thus meeting an important desire in the market. In our workshop, we have already engineered, configured and programmed the exterior door panel so that Huussen's mechanics can connect this panel plug & play. Importantly, moreover, the installer and end user are assured of a 5-year warranty."
