Wonderwoods Utrecht: Innovative and high-profile from green facades to door communication system 

In the vibrant heart of Utrecht, the finishing touches are being put on the Wonderwoods project: two impressive residential towers designed by architecture firms Stefano Boeri Architetti and MVSA Architects with 410 owner-occupied and rental dwellings, various offices, retail and hospitality, which together form a vertical park. Although the towers differ in height and appearance, they have more in common than you might think. For example, both towers use the innovative iPlusBUS door communication system from Vercoma Communication Systems.

Prestige Project

"Wonderwoods is a prestige project," says Paula Helsloot-Mone, Inside Sales Team Leader at Vercoma. "Also for Vercoma. We were involved in this project by Terberg Totaal Installaties back in 2018 to help think about the door communication system for the homes and offices. Together we coordinated project requirements, products and deliveries. In addition, our project engineer watches along on site to ensure flawless installation and reliable operation of the systems."

Initially, code-scroll panels with door video monitors were requested, Helsloot-Mone says, but this request was gradually expanded and refined as the project progressed. "Both in terms of functionality and design. For example, beautiful and sleek devices were prescribed, for which we provided several samples. On this basis, our iPlusBUS door communication system with compact BEOTOUCH touchscreen panels, BEOVIEW 7 Lite-S door video monitors and some BEOKEY code scroll panels were chosen. On the floors, in addition, our stainless steel bell push panels will be installed."
