A high-quality part of the interior finishing in the main building of Paleis Het Loo was drawn, delivered and assembled by Ideko Interieurbouw. Floors, stair treads and walls in the restored and transformed roof of the main building are finished with European oak; elsewhere in the building, a toilet group was fitted with furniture and synthetic leather wall coverings by Ideko.

"From our expertise as an all-round interior builder/project designer, we are used to dealing with the long lead time and intensive communication of this project," says director Martin Schipper. The bulk of the work involves the interior finishing of the restored roof, which includes a viewpoint. "Commissioned by Royal Woudenberg, we connect to the structural systems of the renovated structure, such as concrete floors, metal stud walls and steel stairs."

As far as European oak is concerned, these are respectively 100 m1 for the floors, 200 m2 for the walls and 100 steps. At the bottom of the main building is another restroom area fitted with luxury furniture and finishing materials - washbasin furniture supplied in Corian (antibacterial finishing material), as well as faux leather upholstery for doors and walls. "We did not make anything architectural in the palace, everything is finish - fully custom drawn, delivered and assembled by Ideko Interior Construction," Schipper said.
