For DHG's latest project in Doetinchem, Matex Deuren supplied the complete industrial access technology, comprising twenty-eight commercial doors and another sixteen loading and unloading systems. These included a considerable number of ‘specials’. That is also the strength of the Utrecht-based company.
“As a preferred supplier to DHG, we have now supplied hundreds of commercial doors and dock equipment,” begins Paul Kwakkenbos of Matex Deuren. “And we also maintain them all periodically. Our broad expertise in industrial access technology was also called upon for this project in Doetinchem. Some of the sixteen dock systems, consisting of dock levellers and dock shelters, are equipped with inflatable shelters. This guarantees optimal sealing of docked trucks and minimizes temperature loss.”
Another special feature of this project was the high insulation requirements for the industrial doors. Kwakkenbos: “Usually, 95 percent of industrial doors are made in 40 mm thickness as standard. Here in Doetinchem, all sectional doors are made with extra heavy 80 mm panels. With dimensions up to 7.5 by 5 meters and special applications at the crane tracks, where the doors fold up above the opening to prevent conflicts with the crane track, this required well thought-out technical solutions. In addition, some of the doors are fire-resistant and we installed rapid roll doors.”
According to Kwakkenbos, this project demonstrates the full breadth of Matex Deuren's product portfolio. “From standard volume work to specialist customization in extreme dimensions. That very combination makes us a reliable partner for industrial access technology, even in extreme formats.”
