Sometimes installation companies are not competitors of each other, but work together as partners on an equal level. TBK Installatietechniek regularly works together with ImPro Techniek. For example, at the new Government Office at Surinameweg 4 in Haarlem, both companies took care of all the plumbing work, with a satisfied client as a result.
TBK Installatietechniek is an installation company with over fifty years of experience. All installation solutions are there under one roof: electrical engineering, plumbing, climate engineering and service. Since 2001, it has been part of Biltz and its other subsidiaries, which consists of four entities (Electrical, Service, Plumbing and Climate). "We regularly work together with selected partners, of which ImPro Techniek is by far the most important," says Raymond van der Meer, manager of Climate Engineering and Plumbing at TBK.
ImPro Techniek was founded three years ago and, like TBK, does all types of installation technology, from plumbing to climate and control technology. Co-owner Jeroen van Haren: "We met Raymond soon after the start and since then we have been working together based on open communication, transparency and trust. This is important, because we are not subcontractors, but full partners of each other."
This was also noticed by BAM, whose way of working was positively appreciated. The installation of water pipes, rainwater drainage, waste water drainage, plumbing and fire lines was in good hands, despite the challenges involved in an old building that had to be rebuilt in a circular way as much as possible. Van der Meer: "We cleaned the existing piping and reused most of it. The fire reel pipe was largely reused, and we also reused other parts and materials." His colleague Van Haren complements him: "We used the old drinking water line as a fire hose reel line. Due to the ever-increasing shortage of raw materials, it is becoming more important to build circularly. It's nice if we can contribute to that."
Both men are proud of the final result and especially of the cooperation between both companies and BAM. Van Haren: "BAM did the general construction and W- and E-installation. We experienced it as a project made with a team that had their noses in the same direction. When the end user soon opens the door, he will be happy with this choice, because an incredibly beautiful end result will be achieved."
