SMARTPLY ULTIMA: new generation of OSB board material

MEDITE SMARTPLY brings with SMARTPLY ULTIMA a new generation of OSB4 board material. The material is manufactured without added formaldehyde and is considered a moisture-resistant OSB4 board.

SMARTPLY ULTIMA lends itself ideally to demanding applications in the precast and construction industries. "With SMARTPLY ULTIMA, we want to create a new standard for OSB. Compared to other OSB solutions, SMARTPLY ULTIMA is a strong, moisture-resistant board. Combined with the fact that the entire SMARTPLY program is manufactured without added formaldehyde makes this new board a trend-setting product," said Rebecca Goldsmith, product manager at MEDITE SMARTPLY.

Today's construction industry is explicitly committed to strong, durable products, as a result of which new sheet material technology is beginning to play a larger role. "Prefab construction -also on a larger scale- is also taking off. We respond to this with sheet material that meets the structural requirements resulting from this trend. Thereby SMARTPLY ULTIMA lends itself to prefab construction and to applications in which strength and moisture resistance are important."

SMARTPLY ULTIMA is produced using precision fiber orientation and continuous, uniform pressing technology. The result is OSB board material with a very smooth and consistent finish. SMARTPLY ULTIMA is available in board sizes with a maximum width of 2.80 m and a maximum length of 7.50 m. The maximum thickness is 40 mm.
