In projects, things still regularly go wrong when it comes to properly demonstrating fire safety. Concepts are mixed up, material performance is confused with system performance and only late in the process does it turn out that a fire-resistant window frame not only requires a performance at the component level, but also a CE-certified complete system (EN 16034). And this does not always turn out to be available in practice. The result: details have to be reworked, discussions arise in work preparation, and the chances of delays and repair costs increase.
The video series is intended for construction professionals who are early sharp want to have what they need to control in projects. A frame may seem logical on its own, just like an HSB façade element or a connection, but it is only in the combination that it becomes apparent whether the total actually meets the set requirements. Getting this right at the front end avoids discussion afterwards.
