Cladding Point supplied the circular carrier sandwich panels for the new building of the Lorentz Casimir College in Eindhoven. Block profiles were then mounted to these panels, ensuring that the facade of the building is a real eye-catcher. The assembly of the panels was carried out by MSP Dak en Wand, one of Cladding Point's regular partners. A total of some 850 m2 of sandwich panel was involved.
Cladding Point was founded seventeen years ago as a trading house of sandwich panels with a rigid foam or mineral wool core. Senior business developer Hans van Deventer of Cladding Point: "Construction has changed considerably in recent years. We have started building on increasingly smaller plots and thus closer to the property boundary. In addition, the requirements for fire resistance and durability have been tightened enormously. We are responding to this by supplying circular sandwich panels for utility construction." Cladding Point supplies the panels from four European production locations. This spread allows the trading house to offer flexibility in terms of delivery times, product and color options.
Cladding Point supplies different types of panels: smooth or profiled and all kinds of carrier sandwich panels. "This involves quite a few technical aspects, such as how much weight they can carry and what maximum span a panel can have to ensure fire resistance. We have a technical department with specialists who can provide customized solutions. Among other things, they calculate the static span and the fire-resistant span."
Cladding Point became involved in the project in Eindhoven through assembler MSP Dak en Wand. From the construction team came the desire to turn the cladding into something special that could be attached to the carrier sandwich panels. Sustainability was an important requirement. The circular panels are fully reusable and come with a materials passport. Parties building with them can receive subsidies for this. Van Deventer: "Based on the architect's wishes, we calculated the technical aspects so that the panels used were adequate for the desired block profiles. We then delivered the panels to the construction site. The result is a beautiful facade, a real eye-catcher. We are delighted with this assignment and the cooperation with Dura Vermeer, RoosRos and MSP was excellent."
