Modern ventilation technology of the highest quality

Good ventilation is vitally important. After all, the right ventilation system and competent maintenance contribute to a healthy and comfortable living, working and process environment. Now, but certainly also in the future, says Marc Speijer, responsible for the Utility & Industry division at Steboma Group. "Whether it's housing construction, utility construction, healthcare, life science or the tech industry: we have everything we need in-house to make projects succeed. From design, production, delivery and assembly to commissioning and maintenance. Our ventilation systems are of the highest quality and we make no concessions to safety. Not for nothing are we BRL 6000-10-, LUKA-, SCL- and VCA**-certified."

The Steboma Group sees ventilation as a crucial part of a healthy indoor climate. But also as a specialism, says Speijer. "After all, fresh, clean and conditioned air is essential for a healthy living environment and of great importance in crucial production and process environments. To determine the right systems for each project, insight into the building and its activities, environment and occupancy is essential. We also actively look for opportunities to save and/or efficiently exchange energy, so that good ventilation goes hand in hand with low energy consumption and minimal CO2 emissions."

Leading player in air technology

The Steboma Group has annual sales of about 130 million euros and currently employs some 350 of its own staff, spread across eight branches in Beverwijk, Katwijk, IJsselstein, Eindhoven, Deventer, Ter Apel, Rosmalen and Poznan' (Poland). "As an organization, we want to be a leading player in air technology," Speijer said. "Both in residential construction, utility construction and industrial construction. And both in the Netherlands and in Northwest Europe. To achieve this, we are at the forefront of knowledge and systems. Moreover, we have set up a divisional structure, distinguishing between the divisions Residential (Steboma and Airhome Ventilation Service), Utility & Industry (Post Luchtkanalen and Vink Projects) and Products (Post Luchtkanalen and Vink Products), each of which requires its own knowledge and systems. We have advanced production facilities in Katwijk and Pozna n' , as well as our own trading company. In the coming years we want to gain an even firmer foothold in the Benelux countries, the DACH region (Germany, Austria and Switzerland) and the Nordic region (Norway, Finland and Sweden). For example, we are now active in Switzerland with Vink Projects Swiss AG, which realizes projects in life science in particular. And in Sweden and Germany, too, we have been commissioned several fine projects for the Utility & Industry division." 

In the Netherlands, the Steboma Group is increasingly expanding into the more complex projects, where early involvement is essential. As examples, Speijer cites not only high-rise apartment buildings, but also laboratories, data centers and Advanced Technology companies such as ASML, Janssen Biologics and Bristol Myers Squibb that require not only specific systems, but also a different scale (hyperscale). "With its comprehensive solutions, Steboma Group can provide excellent answers to this. Also in the European market. For example, through Autodesk Cloud Construction and Revit, we provide real-time insight into our construction projects. And our production processes are also highly automated. From design drawing to machine control, which allows us to produce even faster and of higher quality."

Divisional structure

From apartment buildings to offices, data centers and production environments, the demands placed on the air quality and systems of the various target markets vary widely, Speijer emphasizes. "With our divisions, we offer a suitable solution for every target market and every project requirement, with clients also benefiting from substantial synergy advantages. For example, residential towers are increasingly being combined with commercial functions in the plinth, such as office space, catering, stores and sports facilities. And more and more functions are also coming together in multifunctional accommodations, mobility hubs and other buildings, for which we work together across divisions. Always with the goal of realizing the best and most energetic solution for all users. Regardless of whether these users are persons or processes."
