Start construction of townhouses On Nieuwe Stadskade, Westergouwe in Gouda

Single-family homes in phases 2 and 3 located directly on the water with a historic look and completely gas-free in a greener Westergouwe

On April 16, 2019, Alderman Rogier Tetteroo and child alderman Dies Nieuwenburg of the Municipality of Gouda gave the official starting signal for the start of construction of phases 2 and 3 of the Aan de Nieuwe Stadskade housing project in Gouda. In this new construction project, TBI company ERA Contour, Heijmans and VolkerWessels Vastgoed are developing and realizing a total of 66 characteristic townhouses. The project is part of the area development in Westergouwe. Phase 1 is already under construction and will be completed after the summer vacations. In phase 2 and 3 the parties will realize another 45 mansions which will be completely gasless. Bureau 070 is responsible for the design of the houses.

During the start of construction of phases 2 and 3 of the new construction project, Dies Nieuwenburg, children's alderman of the municipality of Gouda, enthusiastically addressed the buyers of the homes: "How nice that you have chosen quayside homes, a real Gouda choice. Because quays are built where there is water and Gouda has a lot of water. It is so beautiful where you are going to live. I wish you lots of love, fun and happiness in your new home!"

Characteristic waterfront mansions
The 66 townhouses in Aan de Nieuwe Stadskade are inspired by the buildings in Gouda's historic city center. The homes feature large windows and have a classic look. Each home has its own special characteristics. This is due to the different colors and variation in facades. On the inside, too, each home has its own character due to the many different residential layouts. The 45 homes in phases 2 and 3 are completely gas-free.
The future residents of Aan de Nieuwe Stadskade will soon live by the water and wonderfully spacious in a home with a living area ranging from 135 to 183 m². The homes are on a car-free street in a crescent around a green inner area with a large pond in the middle. This provides a quiet living environment at the front.

Completion in summer 2020
The completion of the first homes of On the New City Quay phases 2 and 3 is expected in the summer of 2020. Some homes are still available for sale.
