Balanced ventilation systems with heat recovery

Installatietechniek Vink provided the complete ventilation system for the 134 apartments in residential tower 70LUX in Zoetermeer.

The company previously worked with main contractor STATON Bouw on project Waterside 2 in Rotterdam. This cooperation was so successful on both sides that Vink was asked to do it again. Owner Björn Vink: "We installed balanced ventilation systems with heat recovery in the apartments. For this we use Duco ventilation boxes and duct systems from Dyka Air. These products work very well together, so that's what we prefer to work with."

Most of the residential tower consists of a prefabricated shell. The advantage of this is that the duct system could be installed clean and dry, Vink points out. "In this is an installation layer of 11 cm deep in which we could make the pipes. We coordinated this well in advance with E-installer KSO and ICD Techniek, who installed the W- and S-installation. That way we didn't get in each other's way. Because not all apartments are the same, we sometimes crossed paths. But because we work out everything in REVIT as standard, we could see how everything would fit together as early as the preparation stage."

For the installation company, work began in March 2024. For about nine months, Vink's team worked on the project. The only challenge was that the power supply was long in coming. This left less time for adjusting the installations, but Vink responded well to that. "When we finished setting up our installations, we already did everything we could set up. That way we shortened the lead time of the adjustment. We have to, because we usually take half a day per home for this and now we have to complete the entire complex in two weeks. The approach route is different for a while, but in the end it works out well."

Vink looks back with satisfaction on yet another great project with STATON Bouw. "It was the first project for us at such a high altitude and that presented some challenges, especially in logistics. The project went well and we were able to realize another fantastic installation."
