New GreenCoat Crown BT stands for durability and high color retention

To meet the global demand for sustainable building materials that also provide better performance, SSAB has introduced GreenCoat Crown BT for durability and high color retention in roofing and cladding. The new product has a coating based on vegetable oil from Sweden and is part of the GreenCoat® premium steel product series, the current most ecological collection of color-coated steel products for the construction industry.

GreenCoat Crown BT combines good technical properties such as UV (Ruv3) and corrosion resistance (RC4) with a durable, Bio-based Technology (BT) coating in which a significant proportion of fossil components have been replaced with Swedish rapeseed oil. The result is a high-quality, highly moldable and easy-to-maintain building product with excellent batch-to-batch color consistency, in the matte finish optimal for modular roofing.

GreenCoat Crown BT, like all of SSAB's prepainted products, complies with current REACH regulations and is completely free of chromates. In addition, steel is 100 percent recyclable.
