Heras Noise Control Barrier 2.0: Noise reduction up to 32.8 dB

Heras Mobile Fencing & Security is introducing a new Noise Control Barrier in Europe. The temporary noise barrier is a further development of the Noise Control Barrier launched in 2015. The new version is characterized by increased noise reduction, a longer lifespan and simplicity in processing.

In 2015, Heras Mobile introduced the Noise Control Barrier to continental Europe; a padded cloth placed against construction fences to reduce construction noise. In four years, the product has proven a great value in many construction and demolition projects.. Behind the scenes, however, Heras Mobile Fencing & Security was working on an improved version. This has resulted in the Noise Control Barrier 2.0 which now appears on the market.

Noise reduction up to 32.8 dB

The main improvement is in noise reduction: the Noise Control Barrier 2.0 reduces noise by as much as 32.8 dB. The results were confirmed during extensive field and laboratory tests.

Easier to process

The dimensions of the cloth have also changed. A full construction fence requires three cloths. The narrower size makes hanging the noise barriers much easier. In addition, the screens are more flexible for various applications.

Another advantage of the new format is its reduced volume during storage and transportation.

Longer lifespan

A third step forward is in the material. The first Noise Control Barrier was a quilted tarp. Especially when used outdoors, this did not improve the durability. The Noise Control Barrier 2.0 consists only of a special and patented sailcloth (without an absorbent layer). This increases the lifespan and makes the product maintenance-free. The material is fire resistant, so very suitable for placing around aggregates, for example.

As of October 2019

The Noise Control Barrier 2.0 will be available on the European market from October. In the Netherlands, Belgium and England, the cloths are also available for rent. The familiar Noise Control Barrier will remain in the range for the time being and is available on request. In this way, Heras Mobile Fencing & Security contributes to safe construction without noise pollution in every situation.
