Minimum profile thicknesses, maximum design freedom

GEZE is a German family company with 160 years of experience in producing solutions in the field of door, window and safety technology. Some 20 years ago, the German market leader took its first steps into the slim facade market with a design line for sliding doors. "With Slimdrive, we have clearly put GEZE on the map," says Ronald van Driel, Sales Manager Netherlands at GEZE. "This is because we have succeeded in creating an automatic sliding door with the same dimensions as an aluminum façade profile. This gives architects the opportunity to use an automatic sliding door without interrupting the facade appearance. Facade builders also benefit from significant installation advantages. After all, they can install an automatic sliding door on the existing slim aluminum profile system. Regardless of whether a standard sliding door, a burglar-resistant sliding door or a fire-resistant sliding door is desired."

Slim solution for any entrance

GEZE's technical solution has not yet been matched in the market, so it still provides the leanest solution. "But this does not mean we are standing still," Van Driel emphasizes. "We continue to push our boundaries. In recent years we have continued to expand our portfolio with regard to entrance doors. Initially the demand came for a round curved sliding door for round curved facades, for which we developed the Slimdrive SC. This product was then further developed into a circular sliding door in the form of a small draught portal, which allows a stylish entrance with minimalist profiling. This year we completed this development with the Revo.PRIME, a turnstile that falls within the same design line. The Powerturn is also part of our range of sleek solutions. This automatic revolving door operator allows large and heavy doors weighing up to 600 kg to be opened reliably and safely manually and closed automatically. Thus we can realize a minimalist sliding or swing door solution for every entrance, at a competitive price."

Maximum design freedom

Thanks to its unique design, minimal head height and extremely slim profile, the Revo.PRIME turnstile from GEZE is an absolute eye-catcher for any building. Van Driel: "The turnstile not only ensures an accessible and inviting entrance, but also maximum energy reduction. The sashes are positioned at rest in such a way that there is maximum sealing against drafts, weather and noise. With a roof construction height (wreath) of 75 mm and profiles of only 60 mm, we have also minimized the product in terms of profiles. This results in maximum entrance design freedom, more free space and maximum transparency."

Also technically high-profile

Not only aesthetically, but also technically, the Revo.PRIME is high-profile. "We use a completely new drive technology with a powerful and low-wear brushless motor with a torque of 1,000 Nm," Van Driel points out. "This not only ensures smooth movements, but also additional safety. The moment the door needs to be braked for any reason, it immediately comes to a stop. A few inches of travel, as usual, is not an issue with the Revo.PRIME, allowing users to experience maximum walk-through comfort. Thanks to a smaller diameter, we can also handle a larger number of visitors." The motor has been tested to 2 million cycles, he says. "That means the motor actually lasts a building lifetime."

Simple engineering and assembly

Façade builders can rely on the highest quality products from GEZE. But also on comprehensive support. "We support the facade builder with the technical drawing work and the online calculation," says Van Driel. "When a project is in progress, we make regular visits to the project site to check whether the wiring is in the right places, the floors have been lifted correctly, et cetera. This eliminates risks and extra work and takes the quality of the entrance to the very highest level."
