The future residents of the Bernini Tower have a lot of input on the design of their apartments. Layout, number of bedrooms and finishes: it really will be their own dream home. A high-quality bathroom and sanitary fittings are also part of this, of course. These will be made by De Kraan Installatietechniek, in cooperation with Van Munster Badkamers.
These are high-end homes, which is also reflected in the bathrooms. Luxury products are installed, such as shower toilets/Japanese toilets, Sunshowers, lots of custom furniture with built-in and colored faucets and freestanding bathtubs. These wellness paradises were selected at Van Munster, which has wonderful showrooms in Gouda and Zwijndrecht. There the buyers were not only able to see what is possible and gain inspiration, but were also given tailored advice. Manuel van der Steen, manager showrooms, projects and back office at Van Munster: "Our team of sales advisors knows everything about the latest trends and in the showrooms this is shown in a beautiful way. Customers are given ideas that they wouldn't have come up with themselves."
3D and dimensioned drawings show what everything will look like so that people can get a good idea of it. De Kraan can then get to work installing the water supply system, sewer system and bathrooms for all the apartments. Van der Steen: "The materials must be assembled correctly and with great care. The expertise of De Kraan is badly needed for this."
The total installer works out each project in advance in BIM. A large part of the installation is then prefabricated in its own workshop. Work can then be done quickly on site, so that the floors are poured on time when the pipes are in place. It is a very large project, says Mario Jongmans, operations director at De Kraan. "There is a lot of plumbing sold and very luxurious. The penthouses even have multiple bathrooms. Also, it's a residential tower, so for that you have to have certain experience. We make a lot of such apartments, so for us it's easy to do. Our employees assemble the bathrooms and plumbing very nicely."
What stands out is the cooperation between NBU, Van Munster and De Kraan. This goes back years and is completely based on mutual trust, knowledge and belief in each other. Both men are tremendously appreciative of this. "At Van Munster they do everything on time, from quotation to delivery. As a result the construction is not delayed. Together we make clear agreements and work to tight deadlines. We put all those agreements on paper so that we can also help the buyers adequately. We can then give them certain answers about what is and is not possible. After so many years, we have adapted well to each other," says Jongmans. Van der Steen agrees: "We see each other's interests and don't lose sight of those of the consumer either. Communication is number one in this respect. The cooperation with these parties is an example of how it should always be. We achieve the best result for everyone involved, i.e. ourselves, but certainly also the end user."
