Family business Hollander Techniek, with branches in Apeldoorn, Almere, Amersfoort and Almelo, has focused for 45 years on the realization of integrated technical solutions in the fields of electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, security, ICT, swimming pool technology, industrial automation, robotization and retail technology.
"We help customers with the (re)development of buildings, process optimizations and various store solutions. We have been performing service and maintenance work for Bredenoord of Apeldoorn, one of our loyal customers, for many years. In addition, we are responsible for the modifications to their building-related installations," explains project manager utility Marcel Pieper. "That is why we are also part of the construction team for the realization of Bredenoord's new building, consisting of a workshop, warehouse and office spaces. In a first phase, our electrical and mechanical engineering consultants worked out a complete design together with other partners. Then our engineers integrated all structural elements as well as the process and building-related installations into a 3D Revit model, which forms the basis for implementation by our project team, consisting of two project managers and work planners, BIM modelers and software engineers for the measurement and control technology."
By December 2019, the new building should be fully completed. Consequently, the mechanics and subcontractors are busy assembling the various sustainable elements. "For example, the offices and production hall will be cooled and heated almost year-round using an air/water heat pump system. Priva control technology in combination with the Cloud Energy Optimizer should ensure that the air conditioning system is controlled based on the 24-hour weather forecast and utilizes the heat capacity in the building to create a pleasant and energy-efficient indoor climate. The construction team also chose LED lighting and solar panels," indicates the project manager. "A lot of parties were involved in the implementation of this project. Good cooperation between the client, suppliers, main contractor Nikkels and all cooperating partners was crucial for a smooth and accurate progress of the work."
Hollander Techniek is also involved in many other projects, including Unilever's Global Foods Innovation Centre (Wageningen), the new construction of the Hermann Wesselink College (Amstelveen) and the renovation of the crematorium in Almere.
