More and more cities are adding poured flooring to their homes

In more and more cities, houses are being fitted with a cast floor and that certainly has its reasons. After all, the floor offers a lot of different advantages and can also come in a whole host of different colors and finishes. So it is certainly not without reason that the floor is so popular and more and more houses are being fitted with such a floor.

So what exactly is it for a floor?

As the name suggests, the floor is poured. It is not laid as traditional flooring often is. Think of a tile floor. Often the tiles are laid individually, creating a pattern. With this floor, this is not the case. The floor is poured. First, a mixture is made of a number of ingredients. Epoxy, for example, can be added to the mixture to create the floor. When the mixture is ready, the mixture is poured over the subfloor by a professional. This is not something anyone can just do by themselves. So it is important that this is done by a professional to get the best results. Once the floor is poured, it is time to dry. When the floor has dried, it is ready and can therefore be put to use.

Why a cast floor?

The main reason people choose cast floors has to do with the way the floor is cast. This is because it creates a completely even layer as a floor. As a result, there are no seams in the floor. The seams in a floor can cause dirt to get stuck, but also mean that the vacuum cleaner, for example, cannot easily pick up the dust. So with cast floors, this does not apply because there are no the seams. On top of that, cast flooring can be made in a lot of different colors. Cast floor colors vary in a whole host of different colors. All RAL colors can be added in the form of pigment to the mixture. So this allows you to get a floor in exactly the color you want. Cast floor colors and finishes can ensure that the floor immediately adds to the interior. For example, think of a concrete-look floor that makes the house look completely industrial.

In addition, the floor can also be used for all rooms in the house. Even in the bathroom. This is because the floor is waterproof, which also prevents moisture from penetrating the floor. With parquet, for example, this is a disadvantage. With this floor this cannot happen and it is therefore possible to take the floor in the bathroom or kitchen.
