Heilijgers and Van den Pol Elektrotechniek regularly realize projects together. Such as Eemerald, an apartment complex in Amersfoort. Or the redevelopment of Utrecht's House Modernes into a prestigious retail and office complex. "Inner-city projects where we had to deal with limited space on site," says Timo Jooren, project manager at Van den Pol. "This is no different at De Lichtpen."
Here, Van den Pol is responsible for the complete E-installation and LED lighting with motion sensors in the common areas. "The preparation for charging facilities also contributes to a sustainable complex, as do junction boxes made of recycled plastic. We no longer use anything else and thus further reduce our CO2 footprint."
Van den Pol provides precast components with pre-wired flex tubes. "These are busy floors with a lot of piping. The variety of apartment types and buyer molding creates an extra challenge. Through careful coordination with the construction partners, we manage to get everything to fit."
With the PV system, feed-in is not possible. "That's why we install a limiter that continuously measures the outgoing power. If feed-in is imminent, the inverters brake. If this does not happen, high fines follow."
Housing market dynamics are noticeable at The Light Pen. "It takes longer for people to tie the knot, buyers' wishes are often known late. With prefab, on the other hand, you want to know everything as early as possible. Together we look for maximum flexibility."
Cooperation is also crucial for safety. "The safety level is high, with Heilijgers as the driving force. For example, safe walking routes around the crane, a modern construction elevator and toilets every three floors. This limits walking movements and thus risks. As thanks for everyone's efforts, we provided a French fry stand on the construction site on Safety Day." Van den Pol also pays full attention to safety awareness. "This is evidenced by the recertification for Step 3 of the Safety Culture Ladder, which was achieved with flying colors."
