Platform on new construction, renovation, restoration and transformation
Noort & De Vries put its expertise broadly into practice during the Guldenwater project. For example, the company led by Alex Noort and André de Vries provided the five housing blocks in phases with both roof insulation and a 3,000 m² bitumen roof. Work that was successfully completed entirely on schedule despite the adverse weather conditions. Currently, the versatile roofing specialist from Ridderkerk is realizing the terraces of the apartments, including the tiling.
Because, among other things, the roof cornices and emergency overhangs of the housing blocks are done in the same RAL colors as the bricks, there is a uniform whole. "The colors of the components we used are reflected in the facades and contribute to the sleek look of the building," says De Vries, whose focus is currently on completing the job in Nieuw Delft. "In the third quarter we are going to make the roof of the exclusive courtyard. This will be done using a bonded system of hot bitumen, a material that ensures that the parking garage below is and remains 100 percent watertight."
In addition to covering flat roofs, the installation of slate roofs, slate facades and zinc work are among the specialties of Noort & De Vries (see photo). "From natural slates and fiber cement slates to clay tile tiles, we can contribute to any renovation or new construction project," said De Vries. "Furthermore, we are very well versed in remediating and renovating asbestos-containing slate roofs and making them more sustainable. In the latter case, you can think about installing insulation material and solar panels, among other things."
