Platform on new construction, renovation, restoration and transformation
With the use of Schöck Isokorf® a double effect was achieved. Thermal bridges were prevented and the balcony slabs were structurally anchored. "Schock Isokorf® is part of the construction," explains Jaap van de Kamp, Manager of Engineering. "This allows it to easily perform this double function."
Schöck IDock® made it possible to finish the construction first and anchor the prefabricated balcony slabs later. Van der Kamp: "Schock Isokorf® is now a well-known product. Our customers know where to find us. Schöck IDock® is a bit newer, but we notice that the innovative possibilities of this product are enthusiastically received, especially now that contractors increasingly want to retrofit balcony slabs."
Because the recesses of the IDock® system had to connect exactly to the Schöck Isokorf® elements in the balcony slabs, Schöck Nederland remained closely involved even during execution. "Normally, precast concrete suppliers can read and write with our products," says Van de Kamp. "But this was a project to provide additional construction service. So we could think along, check the connection of the reinforcement and give installation advice. We are happy to provide that construction service. It's great to see how our products are successfully applied in practice and it makes our work varied."
