The construction of the first houses in the Vonderij got off to a festive start today. Alderman Maaike Veeningen struck the first pile together with the management of Dura Vermeer Bouw Hengelo and the future residents. Together they celebrated the start of construction of the very first houses in the Vonderij. This first phase consists of 43 houses in three different types. A total of 124 houses will be built here.
Marieke Mentink, director at Dura Vermeer Bouw Hengelo: "We have developed the houses in the Vonderij with extra attention to healthy living, enjoying the outdoors . As a developing builder, we find it important to give people a nice place of their own for now and in the future. Soon you will have the best of both worlds here, the beach around the corner and the city nearby. "
To also give birds a nice home in the neighborhood, all residents received a birdhouse, which they can later hang in their new garden or neighborhood. During construction, the residents were able to get to know each other. This was followed by a short speech by Alderman Maaike Mentingen of the Municipality of Almere. Then the start was made official with the driving of the first pile.
The Vonderij houses are located in the Zandpoort neighborhood in Almere Poort. In this lively area with varied neighborhoods, 124 houses will be built. These will be semi-detached and townhouses. What makes the district so special is the focus on the outdoors and the pleasant surroundings, close to both the beach and the city. Amenities such as (primary) schools, stores, restaurants and theater are also nearby. There are still some houses available, starting at €450,000. More information about the houses and the plan can be found at www.devonderij.nl.
