Integral ground and site planning

On the Taurusavenue in Hoofddorp, Gebouw Water is rising, a striking part of the innovative and sustainable working environment Park 20|20. Bonneveld Aannemingsbedrijf is taking care of the integral ground and site design in several phases. From the building preparations and diverting a pond to the final delivery, including efficient water drainage. Park 20|20 is known for its progressive vision of circularity, well-being and a healthy workplace, embedded in a green and wetland environment. Building Water fits that ambition seamlessly, combining a sustainable design with a high-quality finish and a strong focus on comfort and health. As the permanent civil engineering partner of Kondor Wessels Amsterdam, Bonneveld Aannemingsbedrijf is involved in the realization of this striking building. “With our integral approach, the client is assured of an efficient execution and a high-quality end result,” says Van der Heiden. 

Solid base

Prior to the construction work, Bonneveld Construction Company temporarily rerouted an existing pond to create space for the construction activities. “We then laid out the construction site of over 5,000 m² with concrete slabs and mixed granulate. This solid surface makes it possible to work safely, conveniently and efficiently,” Van der Heiden explains. Because quite a lot comes together on this project. “For the benefit of the foundations, we excavated and removed about 15,000 m3 of soil. This included all the necessary batch inspections. We also delivered and installed a complete drainage system, which we also maintained. This system ensured that the construction pit remained dry during the work, which was essential for smooth progress and a safe working environment.”

In the next phase, Bonneveld Aannemingsbedrijf will provide the final layout of the parking basement and the connection to the municipal area. “This work includes the supply and installation of approximately 4,000 m² of paving, the realization of a gravel pit and the construction of a Pluvia system for efficient water drainage,” lists Van der Heiden. “With all this work, we are making an important contribution to a sustainable, functional and aesthetically pleasing site, matching the high quality and sustainability ambitions that characterize Park 20|20.”
